Nothing to see here, move along folks.

Thanks all. I knew there was something like that on the boards somewhere. And it was still nice today again here. Even though there is still snow on the ground from a month ago, but most of it has melted now. And the rain we are supposed to have all weekend will hopefully finish off the snow in my yard. Sorry again that I didn't respond right away, but I was so busy I didn't get online yesterday.

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Regarding summer gothing... what do you wear to the beach?
I've seen some 'gothic' bikinis for girls/trunks for boys, but they are mostly something like plain black with some application, something like in the below photos.
I don't really like that style, looks too \"cheap\" for me, in a way. Being a former competitive swimmer, I mostly have one-pieces from speedo or adidas, so nothing stylish but plain sporty/functional. The two bikinis I have, one is plain black with little butterflies on the bra, the other is made of two layers, plain white under black mesh...

Jeans, sneakers and usually a hoodie... I only ever go to the beach when it's foggy, windy and almost raining. I can't swim, and don't even own a bathing suit anymore. I can't imagine that there would be much of a market for gothic bathing suits, but I guess you never know...

Oh, interesting. I've actually been hunting for a nice bikini set or something similar but I dislike the styles offered by people who specialise in gothic clothing because the designs are often very cliche!
I prefer more lolita/burlesque styled swimwear, with ruffles and all sorts of pretty things. I saw a few nice bikinis in La Senza but they were out of stock before I could buy! Plus I didn't think the type of cup was right for me..And I'd probably be more comfy in a swimsuit, but the designs for those are even more limited!
I'm not really a swimmer at all and I haven't been swimming properly since I was about 13. I'm very self conscious, but everyone's been telling me to bring something to swim in with me to the cruise as there's a free-access pool etc..So I've just been looking around.
I'm looking at this bikini at the moment, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable with something described as only 'lightly' lined, even if it is pretty. :S
Picture and link below in case any of you are interested too.
But apart from that, usually? I'll just be in my normal gothic wear, wearing stuff that's easy to wash (I hate sand but I love making things out of it)..So..Probably simple miniskirts, tops, nothing with lots of lace/detail.

Not exactly to do with the subject at hand but still a question to do with clothing and rather than start a new topic (I have looked for an existing one) I'll post here.
I've been looking for a decent waistcoat though I have to admit it's extremely hard. I've found a few alongside a tailed jacket I'd like though a problem has surfaced.
My mate said that materials such as satin and velvet (waistcoat) would not go with a cotton tailed jacket. May I get a few opinion here on the matter of a satin/velvet waistcoat underneath a cotton tailed jacket?
