In Latin America there many excellent groups representing every genre of metal, for example, in Mexico there are great gothic bands like anabantha, in Colombia we can found heavy, black, death, brutal and gothic; in several Latin countries are very good metalLatin-American metal..Wow. That's new to me. I'd love to know of some bands, just to satisfy my curiosity over what it would sound like.
However, I know that a lot of drumming is often based on Latin-American styles, so maybe it wouldn't be so unusual after all. Lots of metal can be linked back to Classical music as well, though I can't remember which piece of Classical it was where the link was very clear.
Percussions are not always the Latin style, we have much European influence
