I can`t say anyother than Lord of the rings.. It`s thanks to that book I got into fantasy in the first place! Roverandom is actualy the only tolkien-book I haven`t read..
I think the movies are great, altough ther`s a couple of things I miss.. espcially tom bombadil!!

Actually, the only Tolkien book I've read was the Hobbit. I wanted to read the next 3 books but after watching the movies I wasn't really that interested in it anymore. I was even in a play for The Hobbit. I was Bard, the Dragonslayer.
Meaning comes from within.

My dad read the books for me as a child... then the movies came. Never actually finished the last book, and was too small to remember the books (and to actually know how good they where), so can say...

Like the movies, think I've seen everything of them all. Nto sure, as I've never sat down and just saw them all, but if they're on tv I may watch them.

I own all three extended director's cut versions. I've sat and watched all three consecutively....it took an entire day to watch. 11 hours I think.
