Well, I must confirm that the same thing happens here. I woudn't even bother to go to the movies because I don't want to pay and don't understand anything that happens in the film because others find it amusing to shout during it. Al yu mention peole who talk loudly, but when I went to see Titanic (it was quite a long while ago) some drunkards literally shouted their lungs out making obscene comments and threu bottles of beer towards the screen. Needless to say I got up and left. I wouldn't go see a movie now even if I were paid to do it.
Oh, and I definately agree with you Thurysaz, goths are viewed as freaks when people who pass as normal behave like downright animals. We might wear eccentric clothing (to them! I find corsets and tutus pretty normal) and make-up (idem) but we aren't bothering anybody with that because we mind our own business.
