Thanks. Any thoughts on the use of language? English isn't my native tongue, so I might have slipped up somewhere. I know the Poetic (pun intended) text is a bit overdone, but that was the idea: create a poem with very visible ties to Poes style of writing and Lovecrafts subjects of otherworldly secrets that send people into madness. I am sure it is clear the whole poem is intended to be an illusion, only revealed at the end, as a twist, although to those familiar with aforementioned authors, very predictable.Brilliant!
Some thoughts on your positive & negative:
I like the idea, though in my personal opinion, it would have been cool if the good and bad things were somehow linked (such as the fresh coffee and coffee stains). Also, 'morning dew upon the grass' breaks the rhythm somewhat, which I think is a shame. What is the meaning of 'cup is full'?

After its head was severed and its heart carved out,
The flames from its throat nothing but smouldering ember,
Its hostage freed and hoard depleted, the dragon was undone.
Soon its lair was vacant, no more home to the scaly beast,
From myth to legend, to hearsay and idle gossip,
and finally a memory, completely forgotten.
No more peril, no more fear, no more pain and sorrow.
But what now, what more to do?
Do we really want to slay the dragon? Do we really need?
We need something on the horizon, something to instill fear,
something to overcome, to always walk ahead.
We need a promise, never fulfilled, to keep us alive,
a damsel, ever in distress, a dragon that forever flies,
A hoard always untouched and secrets never revealed.
Just beyond the horizon, just behind the hills,
the glow of what we will never see but still never give up on.
Some damsels should not be saved, some dragons left alive,
not to deny them freedom, or keep them safe from harm,
but to deny ourselves that last little bit,
that last spark of happiness, that forces us to live.
For we do not exist to achieve, to gain, make or destroy,
we exist to long, to want and wish and wait for.
And when there is nothing more to wish for, what does remain?

I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?

Could you tell us a bit about the thoughts and ideas behind that drawing? The cat reminds me of a lovechild between the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter and the overall form of it reminds me of a headstone.

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

hahahaha nah, It's meant to be a begining of a play, this would be the opening scene and it was influenced by watching d-gray man (104 episodes in a few days) and the character Road Kamelot and her song. You can see it here nvvicious.wordpress.com/2009/04/13/road-kamelots-song/
@ millkins: I adore it! I don't know which part of the composition I love more!
Thank you very much
