 I remember when I found heels awkward to walk in - Nowadays it's only the stilettos that elude me - they leave me looking wobbly and drunk as opposed to duck-like.
A few walks around the house helped me prepare for the blisters as well. The pain! Especially during my 'prom' night..6 hours 'dancing' in heels. Bah. Daggers through my feet.

I haven't yet..Usually I just give them a wipe and polish if necessary.
I think fabric-like shoes, like Converse shoes, could be washed easily..Or at least, dunked in the bathtub with lots of soapy water. I'd stick to just polishing and wiping down my other 'more fancy' shoes/boots.

I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?

I feel blisters only after I take the shoes off But seriously the prom? My feet still shiver.

If you wear your shoes barefoot (as in, without nylons) it helps to put a bit of baby-powder on your feet. I find I don't get so many blisters that way, although it won't stop them completely.

Thank goodness I'm a male, and not a crossdresser.
