Hello,

Okay so I am kind of in a rut. I am looking to purchase a capture device to record game play from my Xbox 360, but I have also been dying to transfer old VHS and mini dv tapes to my computer. Problem is I none of my computers have a fire-wire connection. So i was wondering if any one knows of good quality capture devices that also have a fire wire input?


I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Hello,

I've not done video capture for quite some time but a lot of people love Epiphan's AV.io USB devices. If your on a budget then there are a lot of unbranded units on eBay and Amazon that might work fine but you defiantly check the reviews before buying. Not sure about FireWire but a quick search on Amazon showed some basic cards starting around the £7 mark.
