You should read the Blue Blood series. There are 4 books. I haven't read the 4th book so I'm not sure if it ends there, but it's suppose to. It's a twist on vampire culture and reincarnation. Basically, the vampires in it grow old and die and are born again, and at a certain age they can remember all of their past.
Meaning comes from within.
