hmmm... I'd recommend \"A Crystal Bible\" by Judy Hall for a starter.

Top :)
That sounds very good.
Amazon Product Description: \"The Crystal Bible has become the world's favorite crystal reference guide...\"
The customer reviews are also good.
I put in the basket ;)

Thank you very much black_magnolia

How much did it cost?

@ BUK: No, problem. Hope you like it.
@ Envy: Amazon has it for $13.59 at the moment. I think I paid my copy a lot more, but that was ages ago. :silly:

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Onyx is very pretty, but I'm wary of buying it. How can you tell if a stone is real onyx? As it's jet black..

If you're not familiar with crystals, then it's best to go buy them at a good specialist store.

Onyx isn't completely jet black. There is another stone that is called Jet and that one in fact is jet black.
Onyx can be black, grey, white, blue, brown, yellow and red; it's appearance is marble-like.
It's a very special stone, at least to me. It can hold physical memories of the wearer so I wouldn't recommend letting others wear your onyx jewellery. Traditionally, onyx worn around the neck cools down lust, encourages frigidity, so it's said that only Capricorn can wear it without such side-effects.
