English Lit classes in high school absolutely ruined Shakespeare for me. They broke the works down so much, and made them horribly dry and boring. They'd ask all kinds of daft questions and you'd have to write pages of essays, instead of just reading and enjoying them.

I'm surprised I read anything at all now, after sitting through that...

Not sure about others, but that's what happened to me - with WW2. They told us so much so many times, that I never realised it was the SECOND war. I'd never heard of the first untill I was like 15. And we'd been talking about WW2 since I was less then 10...

Back to subject. I'm not sure what to think of Shakespear, as I have never properly read his works. Every english teacher I've had has mentioned him, and tried to make us read it, but only small portions ir the very easy description... so never really got to see the works as a whole. But they are interesting, especially when we got the act it up... (I got Othello, and it was real nice)

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without
