It's interesting, sure, but I don't think it's got any sort of inherent power. There's a theory, that if a code is based on a totally unique language, with no basis in say english (for example, turning a into 1, etc would be based on english at the beginning, even if you did other things to it later), then it could never be broken. Following that theory, I've spent a few hours here and there when class gets boring making up characters for a written language that has no spoken counter-part. Who's to say the guy who wrote the voynich manuscript wasn't just really bored?

I had never heard of this manuscript. It is very interressant and \"arrested\" to realize that there is still, today, not elucidated puzzles that come from the past.

Don't worry, I'm old enough to remember Lilith Fair too! I never went (really not my type of music) but I remember seeing the posters all over the place in Vancouver, ads on TV/radio, etc.
