Ok, well since I've read this post I decided to look into some Gothic german bands and I found two that I absolutely love! Das Ich and Die Krupps. Can't stop tapping my boots.

Nice, I love them. I'm also addicted to Eisbrecker.

Thank you brother Thurysaz for the encouragement :)

And Skie, I don't find it difficult at all!!! It's similar to english. Too similar, I'm only having a tough time with the grammar, I'm bad at grammar in every language I know
I've only just begun this october
but I've advanced a lot. My favourite bands that sing in german or have some songs in german are Lacrimosa, In Extremo, Rammstein, Illuminate, Absurd Minds and Funker Vogt.. but there are many more which just do not spring to mind right now...

Ah, Funker Vogt I recognize. They are ok, sometimes a little too static heavy...
I don't have a problem with the grammar or the pronunciation. I haven't formally started trying to learn German. For many many years I was just learning tid bits from my mother, now I'm kind of lost since I moved. I don't even have my German/English dictionary anymore. I'm thinking about buying Rosetta Stone or something...
Are you taking classes or teaching yourself?
