What do you think is the greatest guitar solo ever?


I have many favourites, including solos by BFMV, AFI, and all of the guitar solos in I believe in a thing called love by the darkness.

Alive by Pearl Jam. It's been the only song where I've really clicked with the guitar solo. But they aren't my favourite band nor is Mike McCready my favourite guitarist (in fact, just had to look up his name).

I wouldn't say it's the greatest, but I love the solo at the end of Ancient's Sleeping Princess Of The Arges.
And Master Of Puppets. Yeah, the solo on master of puppets must be the greatest ever.

Usually great guitar solos are defined as solos which are difficult to play, and often quite fast. But i think that any solos that trigger our emotion are the greatest. When i first see the topic, my mind immediately comes up with Just A Car Crash Away by Marilyn Manson. The solo is so sad that almost makes me cry.

You have Malmsteen, Satriani and Michael Angelo too..
Some good solos from Ozzy Osbourne and Europe. (for example)
