I do like poetry. 
As for authors, I don't have a particular favourite, but I do love John Agard's energy. We had to watch poets read their poetry live, shortly before we had an exam on them a few years back and Agard not only read his poem, but he..Performed it with ever so much energy. He was really entertaining and funny as well - We loved him.

Only read 'The Raven' by Poe, but I was ecstatic when Alchemy came out with a load of products with 'The Raven' in mind. 
Read a lot of Shakespeare though..English Literature is my kind of subject. :laugh:
