I'm not the biggest fan of Metallica, but I do admire their works and they are brilliant. They have some songs which really express how I feel and that's how I began to like them. I think their softer and more melodic songs are actually better than their thrashing.

I was intoduced to the world of metal by listening to Metallica, it was a revelation back then, but now I can't say I'm a fan...but I grew up with them and that's gotta mean something. the only songs I still enjoy listening to now are Unforgiven and Master of Puppets (that long guitar solo brings back memories!)

Metallica was my first introduction to metal. There are a number of their songe that I quite enjoy but most of them come from their earlier albums. There's just something about more recent ones that really don't strike a chord with me.
