I believe the film could have been better.
I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity

Indeed, it would normally be the case! But with 40 minutes less than expected by the director, there was no hope of better ...

I loved the 13th Warrior. I actually had gotten out of bootcamp in the Military and was on leave and saw this movie. It was so awesome and very mystical...I loved the soothsayer, she was really wicked. I have the movie and watch it every so often.
