Bonjour Sisters & Brothers members of The Order Of Algoth,
Today the subject is : the 13th warrior.
It's a John McTiernan film with Antonio Banderas came out in 1999.
It is from the book by M. Crichton.
This film was originally called \"Eaters of the Dead\" has been the battleground for two very different visions. Producers and Crichton had not all the same vision of finished product than the director. McTiernan wanted it a lot more dark atmosphere.
Morality, the film has thus been cut by as much as 40 minutes!
What makes many purists (like me) dream about a director’s cut version.
Have you seen this film or have you read the book from which it comes?
What did you think about ?
Mes hommages.

I own this movie and it is actually one of my favorites. I find though that many people are not as impressed by it as me. Perhaps because it is not such a flashy production as we are used to in these times? Perhaps . . .

Choices we make and the choices that are, when Hell is so close and Heaven so far.

\"Give the arab a sword and he turns it into a knife.\"
I just love that line.

Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.
