Upgrades to Alchemy Gothic Website was created by ForumAdmin
Hi Everyone,
This is a quick post to let our regular visitors what's happening with the site.
A number of years ago we rebuilt our Alchemy Gothic website using a popular content management system (CMS) this move also allowed us to add some great community features, an online store and lots of other useful stuff. However since the launch of our new Alchemy England site a lot of these features have become redundant. Rather than having a lot of duplicated features across multiple brand-specific websites we decided to move our store and private licensing systems over to the new site.
So as the system has to do less things it should become a lot faster ... Right! ... Well unfortunately things haven't really turned out that way so far. This is mainly because of the baggage from some of the old discontinued features. However in the coming months we are planing to roll out some updates to the system to help with the speed of the site and it's usability. We'll be making some changes to the "Registration" and "Your Profile" sections to make it easier to set email preferences etc. along with a few major under-the-hood adjustments.
Unfortunately this will mean more maintenance windows but hopefully the end result should be worth it.
Many thanks,
The Webmaster

Hi Everyone,
This morning's update seems to have gone okay. The changes have freed up a good portion of memory and decreased the load times a little so that's good.
We're pretty sure everything should be working but please let us know if you spot anything that was broken by the update.
Thanks

FIXED: We've just resolved an issue that was preventing points being issued for posting in the forum.

Just finished applying a few more upgrades to the site (including the Private Messaging system and Image Galleries).
We've done some testing and everything seems to be working okay but please let us know if you have any problems.
Thanks,

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

New raffle? Where did you see that? I'm not aware there is a new raffle going on...

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
