New 7 Wonders was created by Morgana
Is anyone following the process for selecting the New 7 Wonders? I haven't been following it really closely, although the one and only Canadian finalist is quite near to me.

The Bay of Fundy is on the list for having the highest tides on the planet, among other things. I haven't managed to convince my husband to just sit on the shore through an entire high-to-low cycle, as it takes about 6 hours. But we've been to quite a few places along the Fundy shore, and it is absolutely beautiful.

Here's a link, if anyone is interested... votemyfundy.com/

I checked out the other finalists on www.new7wonders.com/28-finalists

Hard to pick the new 7 wonders of nature. I feel like they didn't include some other sights, but oh well, it's hard to choose among these 28 now too.

I give my vote to: The Amazon, Dead Sea, Grand Canyon, Jeita Grotto, Sundarbans, Yushan and The Bay of Fundy.

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

 I haven't even heard of this until now..

Though to be honest I wouldn't feel right voting for something I haven't seen.

haha That's a good point. I didn't send my vote becasue I'm just too lazy to fill in the form with my personal info. :silly:

Just wrote my favourites here for discussion's sake. ;)

:P I was just thinking that when I climbed Snowdon, if you saw pictures, it's nothing compared to the feeling of awe that you get once you reach the top and can look over the land - So I couldn't vote for something I haven't seen because you can't really compare that feeling.

I love that link to the finalists though - Will that remain there for very long or will I have to save it somewhere? Gives me a nice list of things to aim to see before I get too old. :silly:

I've seen quite a lot of wonderful places and know that feeling of awe, so I can somehow easily relate the feeling to other places which I haven't seen but can visualize the place using the pictures and the written info in my head almost as if I was there. Probably it's an individual thing. I've got above average spatial intelligence - don't want to sound arrogant with it or something but I've been tested so it's just a fact, nothing really special to me as I find it natural.

I assume the link will be up for the duration of the vote, but I wouldn't be so sure for the future. It would be best just to copy&paste the list. At least those sights won't disappear tomorrow, although sadly, they won't be there forever either.
