I've had wormwood tea before, haven't had the chance to try absinthe yet though. Would like to one of these days. Wormwood tea was an interesting experience though.

Oh, tea... now I just have to find out what wormwood is in swedish, so I can get a taste myself. At least it's something to prepare myself with B)

Another fun way to drink it is a Hemingway cocktail; absinthe and champagne. Kind of like a Mimosa From Hell.
A good place to shop is Alandia , and for copious information try The Wormwood Society .
The most readily available brand around here is Lucid. 62% ABV

Here's a pic from my first meeting with an absinthe distilled in Oregon called Trillium . It was a \"welcome to Portland\" gift from my cousin and her hubby. Very clear, lightly spiced, but quite effective.

About absinthe: \"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world.\"
