yeah that's the way i hear it is usually prepared. hmmm. well, i guess i'll have to try it like that. i really appreciate everyone's opinions and suggestions. thanks.:)

Other way to prepare the absinthe is the Czech Method: Pour a shot of absinthe into a glass. Dip a teaspoon of sugar in the absinthe so that it absorbs it. Set the sugar cube on an absinthe spoon and place it on the glass. Set the sugar cube on fire and allow all the caramelized sugar to flow into the glass. Pour the water into the glass and stir.

well I usually will just drink it by itself, but I do like combining it with orange vodka or apple. Those are just complimentary flavors to it, atleast to my taste. And then the classic way, which LadyInBlack described is also nice, and it's cool to watch what the cold water does to the absinthe ^.^

I love licorice... haven't thought about trying it, as I don't really drink that much, but when I get a bit older (and start making some money) I'll remember it ;) Well, how coulnd't I, being a big fan of Alchemy and all... :blush:
