There was something on the news this morning about some kind of disease you can get from opening bags of compost..>.< Scared me a little about gardening now.

I think you left off purple ornamental cabbage. it is very dark purple, and is a common planting around here.

Never seen that before, but I love it! ^.^

I'd really like a magnolia plant/bush/tree..But they always die so easily in the early stages of growth..

Those purple cabbages are very striking! They're about the same shade of purple as my bedroom.

I'd like to have a Black Elderberry bush, but I don't know how well it would thrive in my yard. We get a lot of wind, and are close to the ocean (about 3 miles/5 km) so trees tend to be a bit stunted around here.
