Nice.

So, I promised pictures of my steam punk costume once I got some work done on it. I haven't gotten terribly far but this is what I've finished.

The pants were a pair that I found at a thrift store and cut off short. I then added the ruffles and lace from a pair of bloomers a friend found for me which I tea stained. The gears on the legs I found online and made a stencil from, the critters were inspired by other images I found (gotta have a mouse!) and they were just drawn on with a black marker. They'll be worn with a pair of knee high brown boots, a white linen peasant top and a light green embroidered underbust corset.





The goggles were made from a $3 pair of welding goggles that I sanded, painted and adorned with all sorts of odds and ends that I had around. I'll be wearing them like a headband once I make a strap for them.

Got a little more steampunkery done. Modified a pistol I picked up at Hallowe'en with some bits and bobs. Should be awhile till I get anything else finished though, as the rest of the pieces I'm making require sewing which is not exactly my forte.
