Born of the Elferingewort, the ancient mushroom ring where a poor soul might stumble and be compelled to join the fairy revels in a widdershins dance that will lead only to death. The Death Cap is a malevolent spirit with the power to enchant the unwary mortal traveller with promises of wealth and fortune as they are drawn into a subterranean realm where a hundred years may pass in a single night. Only those wise in the old witching ways of field and hedgerow possess the etiquette to pass unhindered with a deep bow and a polite refusal.
