Right now we are selling Girl Scout Cookies. I have to pick up hundreds of boxes of the damnable things on Thursday. Anyone want some, just so I don't have them in my office to tempt me like this?
What kind of cookies are those girl scout cookies? The scouts here in Croatia don't have the custom to sell cookies, they're a bit differently organised, so I only know of scout cookies through american tv shows or movies.

What do you people think about those ready made food/mixtures etc.
I once tried making muffins from a ready-made mixture (only had to add oil and milk, if I remember correctly) and they turned out fine. My friends ate all of them in a heartbeat, while I could only save one for myself. :silly:

I don't like store-bought cookies, cakes, etc., as I usually find them a bit dry, and not nearly as tasty as home-made, so I figure I probably wouldn't like the ready-made ones either.

Dammit! I just burned myself while taking out some cheese and cherry pastries... Hope they taste good and it was worth buying them (they are ready made and frozen).

Never tried ready-made mixtures. Cheese and cherry pastries? I've never heard of those..Unless you mean cheese pastries and cherry pastries separately? I can't imagine what cheese and cherry would taste like.

1. Girl scout cookies are an American Institution. The best ones are thin mints (thin chocolate mint cookies covered with chocolate) and Samoas (butter cookie with coconut, caramel and chocolate toppings). I ship them to my mom in Florida and my sister in Indiana, so I don't mind shipping them to anyone who wants to try some!
2. Ready-made mixes are an American Institution! They have half an aisle in the grocery store. I get cookie mixes to have for my daughter, who likes to decorate them, but I don't always have time to make them. I also get brownie mixes to have brownies at a moment's notice. Some mixes are better than others, but most are quite good.
3. Cherry cheese pastries are delicious! Think of cherry cheesecake wrapped in flaky pastry. Cheese danish is popular here, not savory, but sweet like cheesecake filling. Yummy!
Nothing to see here, move along folks.
