I love manga and anime, depending on what I get my hands on. But I rarely read manga I tend to watch anime more. My favorite manga:

Hellsing

Akira

Death Note

Full Metal Alchemist

D Gray Man

Vampire Hunter D

I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?

Zomg I LOVE Death Note... Ryuk is one of my favourite characters of all time. I've downloaded the live action versions too and am looking forward to watching those. lol Im all excited to watch them again now :) I love Full Metal Alchemist - found the movie that comes after it on blue ray and it was awesome too - then we watched Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood which was also awesome.

I've got Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell, and Akira to watch too just waiting to find some time to sit down and get into it.

I loved Neon Genesis but the original ending SUCKED. lol... too much mind crap. Normally I dont mind that - but when you're reved up for a kick-arse ending it kind of bums. I've also got the alternative ending to watch yet too - should be heaps better :)

Looks like I'll be hitting pirate bay pretty hard this month - you guys have certainly brough more anime to my attention :) and I thought Please Teacher was just a series of statues... lol be kind of interesting to actually watch ;) I honestly dont understand the Japanese facination with printed Henti... so boring lol!!

That would be similliar to the fascination with Playboy and western porn comics here.
I find that the Japanese have a bit of a better approach to sexuality then we western folk. Some things are natural to them, while here people would get all wound up in disgust just because they can't pull their heads out of their thight asses. (sorry for the language)

I dunno. I still find looking at an actual picture of someone more sexually enticing than an animation.

I went to Japan in 2000 and although I saw Henti...amongst other things :P... there it was so hard to think of them as sexual when 70% of the females act so \"young\". but thats an entirely other topic lol!!

Getting back to Anime - thinking on the different anime's that people have raised, i started thinking why i hadnt made an effort to watch Akira. Its due to the animation - Akira is pretty dated now in terms of animation. Even compairing it to One Piece and Neon Genesis it looks kind of old. I must be biased lol.

Does anyone find that an issue in their taste of anime? have you found yourself disliking something on the basis of its dated animation - or do the story-lines and action scenes keep them going?

Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative.
