I believe that absinthe containing thujone is still illegal in the U.S., they won't allow over a certain percent thujone. They are still good, but not as strong as what is allowed in Europe. If you are interested in the regulations: www.greendevil.com/absinthe_us.html

That's why I loved Germany so much. At 16 I was old enough to buy pretty much anything they sold. I bought my first smokes and alcohol while I was there.

I may have to give that a try, as long as it is legal. We will see. I sometimes have a hard time making soup, so I am a little nervous about producing alcohol! :)
