Definitely the best kind! Even in the old days when prostetics weren't that great, movie monsters seemed more realistic than the CGI generated images. They are just so much more . . . I suppose tangible would be the best word . . .

So much more tangible... I think I get what you mean. According to the inside cover of Bram Stoker's Dracula, the special effects in that were all created using techniques used around 1900. Very clever. And it looks great without using CGI. Brilliant.

I agree, re: CGI. You can always tell when an effect is \"real\" as opposed to computerized. And the real ones look so much better!

Lovely, lovely. In Germany I saw a squad of punks roving through the streets. I asked about them and it turned out they were just homeless people who dressed up as punks to get attention so they could get money. Sad really...

Meaning comes from within.
