I suppose it comes down to convenience. I guess it would take longer to receive something from the UK than from within the States so maybe people don't mind paying extra and getting their things sooner. Nothing beats some of the prices I've seen on eBay though. One seller is trying to get 184 USD plus shipping for an Alchemy necklace that sells for 30 GBP. Absolutely outrageous!

 That's insane! Alchemy things that cost a bomb over here must be either completely unavailable or priced so highly that they're not really affordable over there. Ick.

I have noticed eBay tends to be a bit more expensive for a lot of 'Buy it now' items..Which is why I tend to stick to auctions only when on eBay.

The only reason I don't like the Elixir Wyrm necklace is becasue I don't like blue. I'd like it if the stone was any other colour.

So, my purchaces arrived today which is super awesome since I only payed for standard post and that usually takes nearly a month from the UK. Turns out the stone in the Elixir Wtrm is actually more purple than blue and I love purple. Woohoo!

:P Ah that's pretty interesting..I always actually liked the blue look, but I wouldn't mind purple. :woohoo: I wish Alchemy stock photos were a little more accurate though. A lot of the time I'm on the borderlines with buying stuff because I'm not sure if the colour in the stock photos really accurately represents what the item would look like in real life.

I'm the same. I always check other sites (usually eBay) to see if I can find actual photos of the item before I purchase. That way, I avoid disappointment.

Same here. The problem is that even thought if you find some accurate stock photos, in Alchemy's catalogue it's clearly written that crystal colours may be different depending on the stock they have at hand, so potentially some shop can have an item with different colour options and you can get something totally different even though the stock photo was ok... :S
