Bonjour to those who remain ...
because here I am left, almost alone, abandoned by my sisters of Algoth this month... I'm lonely... And so I write on the topic of sollitude ...
Are you alone? or, to be precise, you know what the feeling sollitude?
Mes hommages.

Those who stand in white blessed light might not always be good, those who stand in the inky shadows of darkness might not always be evil.

To me solitude is enjoying nature or reading a book with no other human nearby. Being alone is totally different, there can be people around me, but I am still alone....

the thread of life lies severed on the brink of paradise.. .

Solitude is sometimes a sublime feeling, at least for me. It's when I become creative and it really inspires me to paint, although sublime doesn't necessarily mean positive, it's more of a sublime sadness/melancholy. Who ever said sadness can't be a beautiful feeling?

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without

I've experienced most kinds of solitude, both chosen and not, both good and bad... and realized why humans need each other.
I need to be alone, but I also need others. The best is when you can choose, and trying to get to that point. Not there yet, but think I'm getting close.
And why I'm not online... that's because of school. Got some big tests comming up, and need to study... and still I sit here...

Sometimes I seek solitude to quiet my mind and re-energize my soul. Other times solitude crashes down on me as an oppressive force. Loneliness closes in. It is all a matter of perspective and circumstance.

Nothing to see here, move along folks.

Solitude is energizing and refreshing. Loneliness is crushing and hurtful. Very different things. But I enjoy solitude, going for a walk by myself. Sitting on my porch and watching squirrels fight over a nut, or just having the house to myself for a while. It is nice, relaxing, and helps me think.
