To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

People, I'm hijacking this thread!
I'm getting a new dog tomorrow and need a name for the little puppy.
He's a Croatian Shepard, 3 months old. My mother demands I give him a \"normal\" name. She has some kind of problem with my choice of pet names (example: my dog's name is Alucard and my guinea-pig was named Hector, ok I agree that Hector isn't really a name for a guinea-pig but it just suited him, I don't know why...)
My first idea is to call the new pup Nox, but I would also like to hear some other ideas.
(Here is an image of the breed)

I don't know why black_magnolia, but Lucas springs to mind when I look at that dog. Strange . . .
The name of a pet in my household can come from anywhere. I've had mice named after fictional characters (Delan), favorite words (Mook) and escape attempts (Slip). One bird was named when I misheard something my husband said (Lydia). My cat was named because he's colorless (Shade). So there's no particular theme or method. Just whatever fits.

Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.
