YaaaY!! My old husky doggy has no internal masses! Brought her in for ultrasounds today, nothing unusual, her organs look great for a dog her age. Specialist did figure out what the problem is, hard to explain cause I forget what the right parts are called, but basically urine keeps getting stuck and pooling somewhere it shouldn't so it's reoccuring infection. So doc prescribed active culture yogurt and cranberry juice. ^__^ Dog is gonna love that.

Aww, good to hear. ^.^

Hello everybody, I'm on the forum since few days!

I'm Swan from Italy!

I have a female cat, she called Perla (Pearl), she's 5 years old and she passed a bad bad period last year. Fortunately, she's ok now.

I had a male cat for 18 years, his name was Cagliostro.

It's a beautiful world with cats.

nwbevk, hello! I'm very glad for you and your \"old husky doggy\". I felt in love with her just reading this!! Lovely!

Hugs
Swan

Welcome Swan. love hearing about your cats. i'm glad Perla is ok. i know what its like to have a cat whom is sick. my Tribble went thought a bad time but she is better now. and wow i didn't know cats could live for 18 years i had one for about 10 years i think and he was a wonderful cat. his name was beetlejuice but we called him BJ. he was a huge cat before he died. we joked he was part mountain loin and one time he jumped on the back on the back of a large dog and rode it around our yard.

necie, I think cats tend to live a bit longer than dogs, on average... 15 to 18 is definitely not unusual. One of my mom's cats lived to be 21.

Hello necie1286, thanks for your welcome!

Cagliostro lived for a long time, even if his life began in the worst way: at 4 months he has been abandoned. He lived for 4 months to the cold, has been invested and a posterior leg is remained retort. Then, in December, we found him.

Love at first sign. Cagliostro is gone up in our car and we carried him at home.

The veterinary, the first time we carried Cagliostro, said to us to not hope because that cat wouldn't be survivor… fever, bronchitis, infections, worms... a kind of walking dead cat… but after 80 punctures (a nightmare), antibiotics and love… he died of old age.

It happened 5 years ago (Perla is arrived about 20 days after Cagliostro's death, she was abandoned, 40 days old) and I still miss him.

Actually Perla is the Queen of Home. I adore her. I can tell you she saved me from insanity, because Cagliostro's death has been devastating. And yes, she's ok now. I'll have to carry her to the veterinary soon... but she is not happy when she is in front of that man!!! She becomes a tiger! That's how the veterinary called her! Tiger!!

I'm glad your Tribble feels good now.

Hugs
Swan
