I know it isn't a rose, but I like black flowers, and this is my favorite:
The Queen of Night tulip:
I had them planted in my yard, but the deer keep eating them...

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Can anyone recommend a type of climbing rose that can live through frost and a bit of snow (it's at the most 5 days of snow) during winter and doesn't have problems with a hot summer?

That's what I planted in my garden this past fall. I can't wait for them to come up in the spring!

I don't know what kind they are, but I have two rose bushes in my front yard that were there when I bought my house, and still do very well. I think most roses will survive a cold, snowy winter. Mine certainly do well, despite the frigid, long winters we seem to be having here of late...

How did you all come across roses you liked and their names? I tried searching online (whilst imagining my future garden) and it was extremely difficult to find different types of roses to choose from.
