And welcome back! Always nice to see people* returning to the forum.

*I was going to say \"older members\", but that doesn't sound quite right, somehow. Hopefully you know what I mean though...

Well done! I don't smoke, but some people said me that it is very hard to quit. But I think that is because they are not motivated. My opinion is that a person can quit any time, but only if there is a will.


Congratulations to you Janelle! I have quit smoking many times, but due to underlying problems I have never been able to stay quit. I find it easy to quit for a while, but then my brain chemistry returns to normal, which is really abnormal, if you understand. I then revert back to the worst of the bipolar disorder, which nicotine helps keep in balance. If I give it up, I get really unbalanced after a month or so, and then have to go back on the \"hard drugs\" that have much worse and more immediate side effects than smoking does. For me it is truly the lesser of two evils. But I am glad when someone can give it up! Congrats!

I shall never quit my cloves and I still ride 15 miles round trip to work every day....I still enjoy one of the few legal pleasure you can still do. Though I am thoughtful of people by not smoking in their homes or vehicles and such...Congrats to you Janelle! It is your decision and I will support you for it.
