St. Patrick's Day was created by black_magnolia
No idea why it's such a big thing everywhere, but my friends are all crazy about it today. :silly:
As I understand it, it's a day when the lent restrictions on food and drinks are lifted...
Well, my favourite colour is green, so I like seeing a lot of green stuff around. :woohoo:

Some people make a really big deal out of it here... not many of them are actually Irish though. Most people just use it as an excuse to get drunk and act like idiots.

I agree Morgana....but I'm sure it means a lot to the Irish anyway! Xmas etc is also just an excuse for such..if you look at it that way. ;)
