So I bump up the post and then don't say anything . . . tsk, tsk . . .
Had my annual get together. The house looked extra festive this year with some purple lighted lawn stakes that were gifted to me the night before and the empty planter on my front deck that I decorated up.
Inside there was plenty of good things to eat. The centerpiece of the dessert spread was mu One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eater. It was a bombe (think giant baked Alaska) made with orange sorbet.
And of course there was my costume. I went as a Valkyrie and only managed to finish it up a week before the big day. You can't see it too well in the picture but where the feathers attach to the headpiece there are a bunch of metal scales. 50 on each side that were sewn on by hand over three nights of cursing.
Now to start on next year's costume! :laugh:
