Although if it doesn't heal up soon, you may have to give in and go to the doctor. How would your parents know about it? I don't think the doctor would be allowed to tell them, unless you're still considered a minor. Or would they just know you made the appointment, but not the specifics of it, due to a family medial plan?

Envy, you could try asking a pharmacist (I think you call them chemists in the UK?) to see if they can recommend any kind of cream. You could even call them and ask over the phone, rather than going into the shop to ask in person. You might also want to buy your man a nail file while you're there! Sounds like a nasty problem...

So..You can get cream for cuts internally? I've only ever heard of cream for uhh. Infection-type things. The irritating thing is..I don't know when it'll be all healed up..Worse still, my period decided to start 2 weeks early which is very odd and very annoying at the same time. Makes me very concerned for infections or something..My period's not jumped weeks like this in years.
Don't think you can call a doctor up here on a direct line..You have to make an appointment (which is usually a 2 weeks wait), and because I'm a few months short of being 18, my parents will know the appointment is there. If it's a case the doctor feels parents should know about, the doctor also has the right to tell my parents as I'm under 18. Either way, my parents would end up finding out anyway - They have a need to know where I am at all times and they know I rarely head out (my mother usually books appointments for me as I hate using phones). Age and family situation complicates things a bit for me.
Bah..The tea option sounds the most appealing at the moment, although application to said certain area seems very..Uhh. Perplexing, with it being a liquid and the cut being internal and period starting...
Envy is really not having a great week.

The school nurse would possibly be even worse - They also have the right to tell your parents even if information is 'confidential'.
Bah..This is so embarassing..Thanks to all who offered help though.
