Ugh...I have a memory like that with my mother and one of her boyfriends. I didn't realize it at the time but a few years later I did. It just won't leave my head.

:S I guess walking in on parents isn't that uncommon after all. I walked in on mine and also didn't realise at the time what was going on - It was 2am and I went in to ask one to go downstairs and find the source of a ceaseless beeping noise.

They've since installed a lock on their room door - You'd think it solves everything, but I was pretty disgusted a few times when I've tried to open the door only to find it was locked. It spared my mind slightly, I guess.

..I might install a lock on my future bedroom door, to avoid scarring the minds of any future children..

We're all scared if so. There was a time not all that long ago when the house onky had one or two rooms - one for the animals, one for the family. And then your grandparents and you cuisins and everything slept in that room. Those children must have been scared so they're affecting us... but then, life was different then.

I don't believe it would be nice to walk in on parents, but that's part of life, so to say. I ever had, which may mean they never had sex, which is part why they're not comming along and the reason why we kids have been wondering when they're gonna divorce...

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without

My daughter's room is upstairs, my room is downstairs. We would hopefully hear her coming down the stairs. We don't have a door on our bedroom, though. it is basically the whole downstairs of the house (technically the basement). There is a curtain blocking the light from my office into the bedroom area, but other than that, no privacy. I think if I win the lottery I am going to buy a wall with a door in it.

Nothing to see here, move along folks.

I think things were a lot different hundreds of years ago. Yes, children saw a lot more (sex, birth, death), but they're all a normal part of life. People, both children and adults, are much more sheltered from natural events nowadays.
