Well, you're not correct on the part of you being the only ones. \"Yule\" is, as I know, also used in the English speaking countries...

To see a world in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Here in Belgium it's not \"Christmass\" but \"Noel\"...

It seems I must continue to do this when people type before they think. Yes I use to study and work with the runes. I do believe they have their own purpose and have helped me in the past. It is as much apart of my life as my faith, and though I to move towards Christ and his teachings that does not mean that I do not respect others beliefs but I do have a quick quote\"If you believe in nothing then you shall become nothing, pointless and worthless to all!\", harsh it may be but true.

www.wizardrealm.com/norse/holidays.html Norse/Viking Holidays.

www.joellessacredgrove.com/Holidays/sabbats.html pagan Holidays.

www.crivoice.org/chyear.html Christian Holidays.

Christian holidays are similar to the other beliefs, but they have so many off shoots that it is so distorted like the Gothic subculture is today. That is why you see me get a tad angry when Goth is mentioned or missused, or when someone makes an arse of themselves from being uneducated, and following the mainstream and that includes musicians as well because simply they are the whores of the industry. So honsetly I do not apologize for it and your ignorance is my essence for life!

What I hold dear I shall fight for til the bitter end, and let go of the pointless and foolish!

I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity

Yule refers to the Pagan celebration of the winter solstice, on December 21st (sometimes the 22nd, depending on when the sun enters Capricorn). It doesn't mean Christmas, although the two are obviously very close together on the calendar, and a lot of the traditions are very similar.
