Bonsoir sisters & brothers of TOOA,

In these days when the Vikings are very \"fashionable\" I'd like to know if others here, like me, pray God of the ancient North.

Mes hommages.

Occasionally...when events require.
One of my friend's is more devout in the Norse and Viking beliefs.

Meaning comes from within.

I don't have a strict faith practice in relationship to the Norse Gods but I do hold a firm belief in them as I do in the deities of several practices. I also hold a strong belief in the power of the runes.

Being born and raised in the land of the vikings, yes we practise some very heathen rites... We celebrate middle summer with dancing around a pole (covoered in flowers and with some other decorations) and eating herring and potatoes, but no one knows why we do that... just theories. But it really is from the vikings, or older.
And we have the only word (in the world) for christmas that doesn't include 'christ' in any way. And that's because we used to celebrate winter around that time (or something) and drink something called 'jul', which is our word for the occation.

Myself, I'm blonde and blue-eyed and with wide shoulders - there's much viking-blood in my veins. And I find this belief really interesting, probably the most intersting of them all because it's so close.

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without
