The 19th century Victorian style of gothic looks very smart to me
What's your favourite gothic style era?

Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright.

Baroque/Rococo (ie: the era of Marie Antoinette):

Though most everything was pastel in color, I think that made it all far more creepy, almost like it was hiding the corruption beneath it all...

I like the 1920-30 actually, but even 1950 can be interesting. The time when FBI became what it is...

It's interetsing to think about those times - humanity was getting modern, with electricity in every home and those painted posters of happy families and people. Remember one where a woman said \"I've got a lot of dates since I gained 5pounds!\"

And because Rapture is... beautiful. It just proves of what hides beneath all that bleached colour, the pain in repressing your sexuallity and all feelings that doesn't fit in the perfect family. Underneath all that is perfect: the smile, the wife, the job, the children and the house, there's room for so much insanity and madness...
And I kinda like the clothes, especially the underwear. I love corsets, the oldstyle pin-up girls are pretty cool, and I just don't like the normal thights or stay-up... stockings are great :blush:

My beauty is not the shape of the body,
but the voices in you mind;
the thoughts you can't live without

The victorian era calls most to me. There's just something so elegant and extravagent about corsets, bustle skirts and parasols . . .
