I've merged your post here, no need for double threads.

We were aware of her death from the day Alchemy announced it.
Personally, I was aware of her illness for months because the admin slipped a bit of info in a pm, so it wasn't so much of a surprise to me as I have seen even faster deaths due to cancer... :(

Are you sure you're both talking about the same person? Angelusobscurum refers to 'his funeral' and 'one of the original founders' as opposed to 'her funeral' and 'managing director', so I'm quite confused.

Angelusobscurum just made a mistake. Sandra's funeral was yesterday.
I didn't write founder because neither did Alchemy, but from what Geoff wrote it's obvious she was there from almost the start and contributed a lot to driving Alchemy to it's glory.

My condolences to Sandra's family and deepest symphathies to Alchemy.

Rest In Peace :(

I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?

*BUMP* for a worthy cause:

Copy-pasted text from this link: www.londonedge.com/londonedge_blog/index...aro-climb-for-loros/

\"Geoff & Kelin Philipson (Sandra’s husband & daughter) have been working on a project to raise money & awareness for an invaluable institution that was such a comfort to San in her final days.

LOROS specialises in hospice care and, in order to help them to ( www.LOROS.com ) continue caring so compassionately for people in need, we would like to support them by raising funds.

In homage of San’s unfailing zest for life, Geoff and Kelin haven’t chosen a ‘sponsored bake off’ or a 5 km run but instead have chosen to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, North Africa in aid of LOROS. Leave the UK on the 7th July 2011 they’ll embark on their monumental challenge to the very peak of Kilimanjaro, THE WORLD’S highest free standing mountain! AArrrrgggh!

Committed to raising a MINIMUM of £7,000 for LOROS, any donation you feel able to afford would be appreciated. In order to do this please go to www.justgiving.com/Kelin-Phillipson and sponsor them via the personal sponsor website. Words of encouragement would also be appreciated! They’re going to need it.

Thank you in advance for all your kindness and support.\"
