I love metal!!!
I like almost all of its subgenres, the metal makes me dream ;)

But i like also folk music, classic music..(I play the piano for 7 years, with that ... I play only classical music...But three years ago I started playing the guitar, so I expanded my musical horizons)

Ooh similar to me! Although I'm very picky with metal and I tend to hang around certain subgenres more than others. Some I can't stand!

I always got told by my friends that my taste in music was unusual because I love classical and I love death/heavy metal, but I'm just ecstatic when I find people who are just like me music-taste-wise. :P It turns out most death metal lovers tend to enjoy classical too!

Happy to read this ;)

But Don't forget that the history of music has made by the classic .. .... then were invented new genres, etc. ...

Oh I know. Most metal is derived from classical which is what I absolutely love. Just that most people don't understand that and presume that classical and metal are totally different, which is so not the case! You can get some completely AWESOME classical stuff out there, but people tend to completely ignore that and just make presumptions that classical is 'boring' etc.

I mean - If someone made an arrangement for the electric guitar from this:

It would probably sound pretty awesome! As if it doesn't sound awesome enough already! (I adore this piece - You can probably tell, I think I've posted this up a few times before but it's such a good example of incredible neo-classical work). I'll probably give an arrangement a go when I have enough time and patience to do it. :woohoo: But arranging stuff takes so long so I'd be more likely to just base a piece on the main tunes and ideas Shostakovitch uses. :P

Hah, I'll give it a go later this summer if I have the time and patience, as I said. No promises. :P I get very short-tempered when arranging music or composing because it takes so long, so I actually have a lot of unfinished pieces lying around..

Glad you liked that piece by Shosta anyway! He'd be a metalhead if he was still around today, I bet. :woohoo:
