Teehee..Bought myself a nice white/black lolita dress for 25 GBP or so..Bargain price..It's mainly white with black detailing which contrasts with what I usually have - Figured I'd want something mainly white for the Summer, just in case.

I thought about that myself so I've got a couple of white lace shirts, tops etc. but in the end I still end up in black... ah, bloody habits...

I'm always hunting after a nice summer dress in this hot season, hope I have some luck this year...

@ StephanG: awww so cute! Hope your mom likes him/her! My mom gets a headache when I bring an animal home... :silly:

:P Ah, how interesting. I haven't anything predominantly white in my wardrobe apart from shirts, which I wear whenever I'm in employment (usually office work). I thought I'd give a white dress a go. ^.^ I have a feeling I, too, will revert back to just wearing black, but it's worth a try.

I swear that white clothing makes your skin look darker in comparison? It's one of the things that puts me off wearing it. The whole 'tanned' skin look is horrible in my eyes. :S But I've become pale enough to possibly pull it off..

I am pale enough that wearing white makes me look pink! :) And I have several white shirts, and I wore one of them today (with a black skirt). Oddly, it was that $10 shirt from H&M.

I went out shopping with the kid today for her school supplies for next year. I can't believe how much all that stuff costs! Just paper, pencils, folders, etc. Ugh. We also went to the home center to buy flower pots and seeds for her science fair project for next year, growing the same plants in different soil conditions to see if pollution or lack of proper nutrition will affect the growth of plants. Her idea, but we are growing Roma tomatoes, so at least the results will be edible! :) And we also bought catnip seeds to keep the kitty happy.

I am shopping for a new ironing board, since my old table-top ironing board has a broken foot and sort of looks like it is taking a bow all the time. I hate ironing on a slope. But I didn't find the one I wanted, so more looking around to do.

I also had an Ikea blowout last week (my hand still hurts from assembling furniture). I got new sock drawers! and a cabinet for the bathroom, so my makeup and hair things are not scattered all over the house, and covering the bathroom counter. And I got the kid a new bookshelf ($25), since her old one looked like it belongs in a garage. And I got a cheap desk ($20) that I now have my sewing machines on, so hopefully I will actually start sewing now that I don't have to haul the things out and hunch over the coffee table to sew anymore. we will see. Gotta love Ikea, cheap and attractive furniture, with the only down side being the sore hand from putting in all the screws! Especially once I realized that I had all the shelves on her bookshelf installed upside-down. Had to remove them all and put them all back again. :S

Nothing to see here, move along folks.

Oh, I love stationery shopping! I go completely all out, and my mother's happy to pay because she's exactly the same as me, haha. Pens, pencils, expanding wallets, folders, little sticky labels..Yes. I have it all and more. :woohoo: I still have enough from last year to last me another, so I doubt I'll be needing much more than ink really.

:P When I was employed last summer, we had accidentally made shelves the wrong way around and had to rearrange everything, which took an extra day as there were tons of them (they were for the cellars for me to place stuff to archive). I'm awful at putting things from Ikea together, but I should probably get used to it for when I move out and live on my own.

Most recently - I bought some Wii games (with a zapper). I think I'll be buying another zapper/a pair of controlly things so that my brother and I can play 2-player shooting games on the Wii. The accuracy and movement isn't great on the Wii, but it's fun nonetheless!

I also bought the sequel to 'Trainspotting' on eBay for a couple of pounds, mainly because I was too embarassed to reserve and pick it up from the library. :woohoo: Think I mentioned before - It's called 'Porno'. 3 pounds isn't a great cost to me though, so I'm pretty happy with that.

I've also been stationery shopping. I hate how expensive that stuff can get. :( Now at uni I spend a lot more of it then when I was in high-school, maybe 3 times more. :S
