AAG46 - Lucrezia Borgia's Poison Goblet
Late C15th noble goblet bearing the Borgia's double-headed phoenix crest and the initials LB, and housing an amply proportioned cavity behind the knop's secret panel. The Latin text reads:“BIBERE VENENUM IN AURO” (“To Drink Poison From a Cup of Gold”). ‡ A 9” (230mm) high goblet.
